Once you have an idea of the size your guest list and your party location, come in and meet with one of our team members and we will help you select the appropriate beverages and party supplies based on your budget.

In addition to your party beverage needs, remember to stock up on the “extras”…

All of our stores carry an extensive selection of soft drinks and soda products as well as numerous varieties and sizes of bloody mary mix, flavored drink mixers, ice, and premixed cocktails. Always have extra soft drinks and bottled water on-hand for non-drinkers and designated drivers.

How Much Alcohol Do I Need?

This is always tricky to figure out but we are here to help. Below is a general rule of thumb and then a ”How It’s Done In The South” rule of thumb, but keep in mind there are always many variables that need to be taken into account such as…
What kind of venue is it?
How are the bars set up?
What is the predominant age group of your guest list?
(i.e. older crowds tend to prefer beer, wine, vodka, scotch, bourbon. Younger crowds tend to prefer beer and vodka and vodka is typically the three to one beverage for cocktails.

General Rule of Thumb:
Most guests consume two drinks during the first hour of an event and one drink during each following hour. When planning an event that serves wine, beer and spirits, the general rule of thumb is that:
50% prefer Wine
30% prefer Beer
20% prefer Mixed Drinks
If you do not anticipate serving mixed drinks at your event, you should plan on 60% of your guests consuming wine and 40% beer.

In the South (typically)
Southern parties tend to run a little differently and beer is usually the top contender. Full bars with alcohol will always have a higher percentage of beer drinkers than liquor or wine drinkers and when serving beer and wine only…they tend to be equal.

Don’t Forget Non-Alcoholic Beverages & Ice.

We are your one-stop party shop headquarters, so when it comes to ice and non-alcoholic beverages, we’ve got you covered. Stock up on bottled water and assorted soft drinks, diet drinks and juices for guests who don’t drink alcohol. Buy one pound of ice per guest (or three times more than you think you’ll need) and store it in coolers during the party.
